Staunton Senior Center: SSC Taking Part in United Way Day of Caring

United Way of Greater Augusta takes part in the annual Day of Caring each Sept. 11 by bringing together volunteers from businesses and the community to complete projects at local non-profit organizations and schools.

Staunton Senior Center has applied with four projects for the day; volunteers to: deliver Meals on Wheels; clean vans and windows in the Center; distribute flyers in the community announcing Center programs, special events and recognizing September as National Senior Center Month; and painting tables and chairs that are looking less than stellar in the Center.
