Staunton Senior Center: Six Nursing Students Begin At SSC
Six new nursing students from JMU began their four week session with Staunton Senior Center visiting with the members, playing games, and participating in programs.
We are looking forward to getting to know them better over the coming weeks and are encouraged by their youthfulness, energy, and caring. They will be accompanying MOWs volunteers to deliver to homebound clients, deciding their topics for the health fair, interviewing members, and making home visits.
We are anticipating several nursing students from UVa who will be coming in March to do some exercise, games, and mental fitness activities. The interaction between the students and members is always enjoyed by all involved!
